NOA’s CDLector is a mass CD-ripping system that is capable of handling up to eight parallel drives. Designed to extract audio from CDs into digital audio objects with perfect control over interpolation, it delivers optimal results even for heavily damaged items.
By prompting to insert the correct carrier into the drive with automatic opening/closing of the corresponding drive in automatic mode, considerably high throughput of up to 1,000 CDs per day (2 shifts operation) is possible.
During operation, CDLector can be set to various, semi-automatic reading modes to achieve the best possible output even of damaged discs.

CDLector maximizes the advantages of these approaches by intelligently blending them and employing smart switching, while meticulously recording each mode change as a time-based marker.
As some of these alternative modes depend on C2 error reporting from CD drives (hardware), NOA diligently tests current market drives to offer suitable recommendations and assurances.
Beyond its capability to retrieve ISRC codes and CD Text in the extraction process, CDLector also enables access to external and third-party databases in a subsequent step (after grabbing) for obtaining track names and additional descriptive metadata. With MetaDataFinder, an optional companion tool, users can review, select, and refine these track names which may originate from different sources (internal and external databases) to ensure the most accurate representation of the CD's content.
