AV digitizing and archiving specialist NOA GmbH has announced its participation in the FIAT/IFTA World Conference 2018 that will take place in Venice, Italy, from 9 to 12 October.
The 2018 edition, entitled “The Archive’s Renaissance: Navigating the Future, Channeling the Past,” is hosted by Italian public service broadcaster, Radiotelevisione Italiana (RAI), and will bring together engineers, managers, strategists, technicians, researchers and service providers to discuss the latest issues surrounding the archiving profession.
This year’s conference will focus on the following topics:
- Leveraging the Powers Hidden Within Your Treasure
- In the Archive’s Control Tower: Current Trends and Topics in Media Management
- Analog and Digital Preservation
- Copyright
- New Trends and Techniques in Archive Research.
NOA has been an avid participant in the FIAT event over the years. Most recently, NOA attended the FIAT/IFTA Conference in Mexico in October 2017, where the company presented a paper, which discussed “Broadcasters Dilemma with Archive Asset Management — Torn Between Long Term and Production Requirements.”
NOA is a silver sponsor of FIAT and for the 2018 edition will take part in a dedicated panel session where the company will share its latest innovative technology advances with the audience.
We always enjoy attending FIAT/IFTA events because we get the chance to interact with industry colleagues and companies involved with the preservation and use of broadcast archives. It’s a platform where knowledge gets shared through case studies and research. In addition, Venice will be a splendid location for its beauty and history.
said Christophe Kummer, managing partner of NOA.
