NOA at Cabsat 2019

Stand B4-30

AV digitizing and archiving specialist NOA GmbH (Stand B4-30) has a lot on tap for this year’s CABSAT show, which takes place March 12–14 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Under the theme “Create Inspiration, Action & Reaction”, the Middle East, Africa and South Asia event brings together professionals from the satellite, media and entertainment industries.

For the 2019 edition, NOA managing director Christophe Kummer will be present at the show along with colleagues Bruno Burtre, Abderrahmane Bessaih, Silvester Stöger and Manuel Corn with a bigger booth, where they will feature a “hands-on” in-house digitization factory. Visitors will be able to experience firsthand how NOA products are transforming the way digitization takes place today and see the efficiency this technology brings to one’s workflow.

Placing prominence on optimization, streamlining and quality control of the entire workflow, NOA has enhanced its product offering to meet the increasing industrial digitization requirements of legacy audio and video carriers. Among products on focus will be NOA’s Archive Asset Management solution mediARC, the recently released NOA jobDB 4.1 workflow system, as well as the newly upgraded NOA QualityChecker for jobDB and mediARC.

The demand for advanced archiving solutions and consultancy on data migration has increased considerably in the last few years. Preservation of legacy material is not merely a prominent theme of our presentations_ it has become a strong interest point for many broadcasters in the MEASA region and around the world. This year we will have an even stronger team of specialists at CABSAT to welcome more visitors to our booth and address each institution’s individual requirements with the utmost care.

said Christophe Kummer, NOA CEO

In addition, Kummer will give a speech on March 11 at the Arab States Broadcasting Union conference. During his presentation “Preparing Archive for Artificial Intelligence & beyond” he will discuss the challenges of archiving and feasibility of AI in industrial digitization. Among the points he will touch upon will be the fact that many archives still lack elementary intellectual metadata before they can advance to AI technology.
