The centralized storage infrastructure of jobDB™ allows concurrent access to data from distributed clients, which in turn allows time-consuming tasks to be performed in parallel on several stations. Media files are centralized from the perspective of users and digitization workstations, but distributed from the perspective of processing applications.

Every connected ingest station from ingestLINE™ continually logs specific status and operator information to the central database, allowing administrators to supervise exactly what’s happening on each machine.

jobDB architecture facilitates efficient task dispatch towards dedicated skill sets, helps avoid operational errors, and enables powerful reporting.

Import and export of data can be further automated with watchfolder systems over FolderScanner and DBScripter.
